What travel companies are doing to #DefeatDayZero in Cape Town
The signs of the Cape Town drought are everywhere… As you land at Cape Town International Airport, the once emerald-green landscape has turned a dusty brown.
The Cape Town crisis is a massive opportunity to create awareness. Any touch point with a tourist – hotel, restaurant, attraction, airline, travel agent, tour operator – should be involved in initiatives to create awareness of the water crisis and institute water saving initiatives. It was great that BA Comair made an announcement on their flight about the drought, but the other domestic airlines, for example, did not.
